Dec 9, 2022:  Celebrate the Spirit of Aviation

The Oklahoma Aeronautics Commission in community partnership with Tulsa International Airport, the Oklahoma Air and Space Forces Association, and Spirit AeroSystems will commemorate the state’s sixth annual Oklahoma Women in Aviation & Aerospace Day with an in-person luncheon at Tulsa Tech - Riverside Campus. They will welcome many honored guests including keynote speaker Sam Marnick, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer for Spirit AeroSystems.

The forum, reserved for Aviation and Aerospace enthusiasts and personnel, will provide an amazing opportunity to learn more about Aviation and Aerospace to encourage Oklahomans to dream big and find their passion in our exciting industry.

In memoriam, this year's Oklahoma Women in Aviation and Aerospace Day Woman of the Year is Bessie Coleman, born in 1892 she received her pilot license in 1921. The Tulsa Tech hangar will be appointed with abundant aircraft, engine might and metal, gears and gadgets, and interactive exhibits from the Tulsa Air and Space Museum as we remember the stargazers of the past and celebrate the innovations of the present. Wear business attire and your pearls in honor of Pearl Carter Scott and let's celebrate the Oklahoma aviation and aerospace industry.
